3HCloud Virtual Firewall helps you keep applications available while reducing server strain and avoiding the need for extra hardware.

Micro-segmentation for tiered architectures

As you deploy servers in Warsaw, Miami, and San Francisco, group them by web, app, and database tiers. Allow only necessary traffic: web → app on 8080, app → DB on 543, and block everything else, including lateral movement. Outbound traffic should be limited to trusted provider IPs, such as payments, webhooks, and CDNs.

Controlled outbound connectivity

Lock down SSH/RDP so instances accept management traffic only from a bastion host group or a specific corporate CIDR; deny direct public access to workloads. Limit outbound traffic to essential services (DNS, NTP, OS package mirrors); block arbitrary internet egress to reduce data exfiltration risk and malware callbacks.
